HC Deb 28 June 1909 vol 7 c26
Mr. KILBRIDE (for Mr. Boland)

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland what steps, if any, have been taken by the Estates Commissioners to reinstate the evicted tenants on the Lowe estate, near Kilgarvan; whether, in view of the fact that there is untenanted land on the estate in the immediate vicinity, he will urge on the Commissioners to proceed with the reinstatement of the evicted tenants on the Danros East division of the Lansdowne estate; and whether similar steps will be taken in the cases of the evicted tenants in the Reen East division of the Colomb estate, where there is also sufficient untenanted land?

Mr. BIRRELL

The Estates Commissioners inform me that one evicted tenant on the Lowe estate and two on the Lansdowne estate have been reinstated. The applications of the other evicted tenants who are suitable for reinstatement will be considered in the allotment of untenanted land.
