§ Mr. BURNSI am not aware of any Returns of the number of persons in London suffering from trachoma, but I have no reason to suppose that it is considerable. From the Reports of the Medical Officer for Education of the London County Council, I gather that the disease is very rare amongst school children, and almost entirely confined to children of alien birth.
