HC Deb 26 July 1909 vol 8 c841
Mr. MIDDLEMORE

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether the crews of any ships in the third or fourth divisions of the Home Fleet have been drawn upon in order to provide crews for any of the vessels taking part in the naval manœuvres?

Mr. McKENNA

No men were taken from ships of the third division of the Home Fleet, and practically the whole division was engaged in the manœuvres. Sixteen men were taken from the fourth division ships to supply the needs of other ships taking part in the manœuvres, but these men were additional to the ordinary complement of special service vessels.
