HC Deb 26 July 1909 vol 8 cc842-3
Mr. WEIR

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will ascertain from the Highland Railway Company on what conditions they are prepared to proceed with the construction of the Cromarty and Dingwall Light Railway.

Mr. TENNANT

As the matter is still under negotiation between the two companies, I can hardly ask for the information my hon. Friend desires.

Mr. WEIR

Was not a guarantee of £5,000 demanded, yet nothing has been done since the Provisional Order was granted 10 years ago.

Mr. TENNANT

I am not aware whether that is a fact or not, but long negotiations are pending.
