Mr. PARKERasked the Home Secretary whether he is now prepared to issue a draft Order applying the provisions of Section 116 of the Factory and Workshop Act to piece-workers in shipbuilding yards?
§ Mr. GLADSTONEI understand that the question of supplying particulars to piece-workers in shipbuilding yards is at present the subject of negotiations between the Shipbuilding Employers' Federation and the Boiler Makers' Society, the society from which the application for an Order under Section 116 came. I am waiting to hear the result of these negotiations before taking any further steps in the matter.
