HC Deb 21 July 1909 vol 8 c498
Sir THOMAS BRAMSDON

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty what are the duties proposed to be undertaken by a reserve of colonels in the Royal Marines, taking into consideration the fact that after commanding Royal Marine divisions they would be upwards of 55 years of age, 50 years of age being the present limit of age for service in the reserve of officers?

Mr. McKENNA

No duties will be taken by these officers. The first officer to be placed on the list was under 51 years of age when he gave up the command of a division.
