asked what rate of wages will be paid to Portuguese native labourers recruited for the Transvaal mines; and whether any provision is made for the payment of a minimum wage; whether the assent of the Portuguese native labourer engaged for labour in the Transvaal mines is required before transferring him from one employer to another; and whether the Portuguese native labourers recruited for the Transvaal mines will be accompanied by their wives and children?
