HC Deb 05 July 1909 vol 7 cc795-6
Mr. BOLAND

asked the Vice-President of the Department of Agriculture (Ireland) whether he will cause a sworn inquiry to be made into the circumstances connected with the failure of the railway company to provide proper accommodation for the fish traffic from Valentia on 3rd and 4th June?

The ATTORNEY-GENERAL for IRELAND (Mr. R. R. Cherry)

There is no power to hold such an inquiry. The matter referred to in the question is still engaging the attention of the Department, who will use every possible effort to secure that no reasonable cause of complaint shall arise in regard to the fish traffic from Valentia.
