HC Deb 05 July 1909 vol 7 c800
Mr. ROWLANDS

asked whether the applicants who desire allotments at St. Paul's Cray, Kent, have been informed that the rent would be £3 per acre with the allotment holder paying the rates and taxes, and that the parish council would be responsible for the payments; whether he has any official information showing that some allotments are now let there at 3s. 3d. per rod, i.e., £2 12s. per acre, inclusive of rates and taxes; will he say whether these holders would have to come under the new arrangements; and, if this is the case, will the Board of Agriculture cause an inquiry to be held?

Sir E. STRACHEY

We have no official information on this matter, but inquiry shall be made and I will let my hon. Friend know the result.
