§ Mr. KILBRIDE(for Mr. John Roche) asked the Chief Secretary whether he is aware that the settlement of Mr. Lawrence Egan's claim as an evicted tenant formed part of the agreement to purchase between Sir Henry Burke and his tenants on the Marblehill estate; and, as the agreement was entered into two years ago, can he state has any effort been since made by the Estates Commissioners to settle this case; and, if so, with what result?
§ Mr. BIRRELLThe Estates Commissioners propose to provide this man with a holding on lands, which they hope to acquire at an early date. The former holding is in the occupation of another tenant.
§ Mr. KILBRIDEAre they going to provide him with land in the immediate vicinity which the Estates Commissioners have already?
§ Mr. BIRRELLThey will provide him with land as near as possible to his own home.
