HC Deb 03 August 1909 vol 8 c1705
Mr. BRIDGEMAN

asked the President of the Board of Education whether, in view of the decision of the King's Bench Division in the Swansea schools case, the Government will forthwith take steps to secure that similar salaries shall be given to teachers in provided and non-provided schools to teachers with the same qualifications?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. Runclman)

As stated by Counsel at the conclusion of the proceedings in the King's Bench Division, the necessary steps for giving notice of appeal have been taken. I am, therefore, unable at present to make any statement on the subject.
