§ Order for second reading read.
§ Motion made and Question proposed: "That the Bill be now read a second time."
§ Further proceeding objected to.
§ Mr. KILBRIDEI would ask the hon. Baronet the Member for the City of London to withdraw his objection. Perhaps he will do so if I remind him that the Bill is backed by a Member on his own side, the hon. Member for Rye, and that it is supported by all the agricultural Members in all parts of the House. I would, therefore, 450 ask the right hon. Baronet to withdraw his objection, and let the Bill go before a Select Committee upstairs, and if he adopts this course anything which he sees objectionable in the Bill can be remedied upstairs.
§ Second reading deferred till to-morrow.
§ The House adjourned at Three minutes after Eleven of the clock.
