HC Deb 07 April 1909 vol 3 c1138
Mr. RAMSAY MACDONALD

asked whether the records of the trial of Dinizulu have now been received; whether any Papers on the subject are to be laid; and, if so, when they may be expected?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Colonel Seely)

Yes, Sir, a Parliamentary Paper will be laid and will be available shortly.

Mr. RAMSAY MACDONALD

Will the Parliamentary Papers contain any excerpts from the records of the trial?

Colonel SEELY

No; I think not.

Mr. RAMSAY MACDONALD

If not, will it be possible to put the record of the trial in the Library, so that Members who. desire may have access to it and consult it?

Colonel SEELY

I do not think that we could very well give excerpts from the record of the trial, but we have now the record itself, and I will put it in the Library. It is about 2 feet high, and is an enormous document; the printing is clear, but very faint. I will have it put in the Library and hon. Members can see it.
