§ Colonel SEELYNo. As soon as the hon. Gentleman brought under my notice the rumours of this great disaster I telegraphed to Fiji, which is the nearest telegraphic point to the New Hebrides. We had not received any reply up to a few minutes ago. I only hope that the rumours have been exaggerated.
