§ MR. LONSDALE (Armagh, Mid)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether any decision has yet been arrived at with reference to the prosecution of newspapers which publish intimidatory resolutions passed by the United Irish League branches, and of the members of the League who pass these resolutions and organise the acts of intimidation which follow them.
§ THE CHIEF SECRETARY FOR IRELAND (Mr. BIRRELL,) Bristol, N.Proceedings will be taken to prevent the publication by newspapers of resolutions of an intimidatory character. The proceedings to be taken must depend upon the circumstances of each case, and no general rule can be laid down beforehand.
