To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department the amount at present received in licence duty from the existing on-licences; how much it is estimated these same on-licences would pay as licence duty under Schedule A. when the valuation under Schedule A. is conducted upon the revised basis expected to arise under the Licensing Bill.

in the year ended 31st March, last was £1,834,892; exclusive of Scotland and Ireland the figure is £1,555,237. It is impossible to make any accurate forecast such as is asked for in the second part of the Question.
