HC Deb 28 October 1908 vol 195 c257
MR. REES (Montgomery Boroughs)

To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer what arrangements will be made to insure that applicants for old-age pensions, who cannot speak English, shall be able to present their cases to an official who can understand Welsh.

(Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) I may perhaps be allowed to refer my hon. friend to my reply on the 21st instant to a similar Question by my hon. friend the Member for Merthyr Tydvil, in which I indicated the arrangements which have been made to meet the case of monoglot Welsh-speaking applicants for old-age pensions.
