HC Deb 28 October 1908 vol 195 c295
MR. BARRIE

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that managers of National Schools in Ireland have to pay out of their own resources premiums upon the insurance of teachers under the Workmen's Compensation Act; and whether, having regard to the fact that the salaries of the teachers are paid out of State funds, he will endeavour to induce the Treasury to provide funds for the insurance of the teachers against accident.

MR. BIRRELL

I can only refer the hon. Member to the answers repeatedly given by the Secretary to the Treasury to Questions on this subject. I would refer in particular to the answer of 27th June, 1907.
