I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that on 14th September last, at about 8 p.m., eight shots were fired into the house of a man named Faley, on the Tyrone estate, near Ballinderreen, County Galway; whether any arrests have been made in the matter; and what steps are being taken to prevent the repetition of outrages of this nature.

The police have reported the offence referred to. No arrests have been made. The police are affording protection in the case, with the object of guarding against a repetition of the offence.
