TO ask the President of the Local Government Board, whether he can say how many applications have been made at any time by local authorities under Section 8 of the Motor Car Act, 1903, for the prohibition or restriction of motor traffic on special roads; and in how many cases the applications have been refused.

(Answered by Mr. John Burns.) Thirty-three applications have been received in all. Of those twelve have boon withdrawn or dropped and four are now under consideration. In twelve cases orders have been issued, and in five cases the application has been refused.
