HC Deb 26 October 1908 vol 194 c1601
MR. ASHLEY

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether any money has been specially allocated for the purpose of defraying the cost of week-end camps for Territorials, which form of training has been found most useful in the Northumbrian division; and, if not, will provision for this object be made in the future.

MR. HALDANE

The principle adopted from the beginning has been to leave the General Officers Commanding-in-Chief free in the allocation of their training grants, and I have no reason to think that the funds at the disposal of the Associations and of General Officers Commanding are not sufficient to provide for this form of training.
