HC Deb 26 October 1908 vol 194 c1576

To ask the First Lord of the Admiralty how many of the unemployed he intends to employ on the works at Rosyth and other Government stations in Scotland during the rest of the financial year.

(Answered by Mr. McKenna.) The Admiralty works in Scotland are carried out by contract, so that the Admiralty can give no direct employment except to a very few men employed on odd jobs.
