HC Deb 26 October 1908 vol 194 c1589
MR. SLOAN

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he intends to introduce legislation dealing with the blind in Ireland, and, if so, when.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) I presume that the hon. Member refers to legislation on the lines of the Irish Education (Afflicted Children) Bill, which was introduced by my predecessor two years ago. I should be very glad to introduce a Bill on the subject if I had any assurance that it would meet with general approval.
