§ MR. ASHLEYI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether in view of the serious decrease in the number of horses in the United Kingdom suitable for Army purposes, it is intended to provide in next year's Army Estimates a sum of money to encourage the breeding of such horses, which Austria-Hungary, Germany, and France promote by spending annually £300,000, £200,000, and £100,000, respectively.
