MR. LONSDALE (Armagh, Mid.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Treasury have ratified the appointment by the Commissioners of Intermediate Education of inspectors for Irish intermediate schools; and, if so, when it is intended to make the appointments.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) It is intended to appoint inspectors, but the details have not yet been settled. I am not yet in a position to say when the appointments will be made.
