REES (Montgomery Boroughs)I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for India whether the Anglo-Indian Association of Calcutta has represented to the Government of Bengal that the separation of judicial and executive functions seems likely not only to be unpopular amongst the great masses who have never demanded it, but also to be fraught with great harm; and, if so, whether this representation will be duly considered before the present experiment is extended.
