HC Deb 15 October 1908 vol 194 c471
SIR EDWARD SASSOON (Hythe)

I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will state for the area of each local pension committee the number of persons who have claimed an old-age pension under the provisions of the Old-Age Pensions Act, 1908.

MR. LLOYD-GEORGE

I am afraid that I am not yet in a position to answer the Question of the hon. Baronet; but, as I stated in the House yesterday, in answer to a Question put to me by my hon. friend the Member for Fulham, I have already called for a return of the total number of applications which have been received up to the present time.
