HC Deb 14 October 1908 vol 194 cc311-2
MR. YOUNGER (Ayr Burghs)

I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland whether a scheme of compulsory life insurance has been made a condition of employment in all future appointments of engrossing clerks in the Sasine Office in Edinburgh; if so, whether he can state the particulars of the scheme; and whether such clerks will be free to select the company in which they prefer to insure.

THE SECRETARY FOR SCOTLAND (Mr. SINCLAIR,) Forfarshire

The Answer is in the affirmative. I shall be happy to furnish the hon. Member with particulars of the scheme of assurance which has been arranged.

MR. YOUNGER

Will the right hon. Gentleman answer the last part of the Question?

MR. SINCLAIR

I have said I shall be glad to furnish particulars.
