HC Deb 14 October 1908 vol 194 c291
MR. CARR-GOMM (Southwark, Rotherhithe)

To ask the Prime Minister whether the Government will be able to deal with the question of London traffic during the coming winter; whether the special branch of the Board of Trade has presented its Report on this matter; and whether the Government will set apart a grant for widening the London streets and improving the means of communication in connection with its proposals for the relief of unemployment in London.

(Answered by Mr. Asquith.) I understand that the London Traffic Branch of the Board of Trade has presented its Report to the Board, and that it will shortly be laid upon the Table of the House. I cannot hold out any hope that legislation dealing with London traffic can be enacted during the present session.
