I beg to ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, whether, in view of the number of applications received from certain districts and the delay which has already occurred, the Board will consider the advisability of appointing local inspector in all such districts to assist the Commissioners and the county councils in ascertaining and satisfying the demand.

The Board are now considering what additional staff is necessary to cope with the work arising under the Act.
