HC Deb 24 November 1908 vol 197 cc89-90
MR. VINCENT KENNEDY

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he will say whether the Estates Commissioners have received an application on behalf of Patrick Drum, the son of the evicted tenant whose holding in Aughrim was evicted by John J. Benison in December, 1881; and is the landlord still in possession of this farm.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Estates Commissioners inform me that Patrick Drum's application was not lodged within the time specified in the Evicted Tenants Act, and cannot therefore be dealt with under that Act. The Commissioners have not inquired into the case, and cannot say who is in possession of the farm in question.
