I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what was the number of men employed at the Dinorwic quarries, in the county of Carnarvon, for the year ending 31st December, 1907; how many were employed inside and outside the quarry, respectively; and what was the number of accidents reported during the same period, distinguishing those to men employed inside and outside the quarry.

The figures asked for are as follows: Employed inside, 1,114; employed outside, 1,711; total employed, 2,825. Fatal accidents reported, 4, all of which occurred to inside workers. Non-fatal accidents reported, 38, of which 32 occurred to inside workers.
