HC Deb 23 November 1908 vol 196 c1794
MR. STANIER

I beg to ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, whether, after reading the Order, dated 1st October, 1908, on Black Scab in Potatoes (Ireland) Order, 1908, he will adopt the preventive measures there defined.

SIR EDWARD STRACHEY

The disease is apparently much more prevalent in Great Britain than in Ireland, and it would not at present be practicable to adopt the measures to which the hon. Member refers.
