§ MR. BEAUMONT (Sussex, Eastbourne)I beg to ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, whether his attention has been called to the fact that in the county of Sussex 330 applications for small holdings have been made, and 170 of these have been approved; whether no applicants have been provided for by the council and no land acquired; and what steps he proposes to take.

§ EARL WINTERTON (Sussex, Horsham)Is the hon. Gentleman aware that there are two county councils in Sussex?
§ MR. BEAUMONTThe figures in the Question apply to both divisions of the county.
