Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, how many applications under the Small Holdings Act, 1907, have been applied for in the county of Durham; the amount of land obtained and asked for; the number of applications acceded to; and the parts of the county in which the land is situated.
§ SIR EDWARD STRACHEYThere have been 350 applications for 6,452 acres and 314 of the applicants are regarded as suitable. A farm of 170 acres at Brafferton, near Darlington, has just been purchased, but it has not yet been divided up into small holdings.
