HC Deb 11 November 1908 vol 196 c257
SIR CARNE RASCH (Essex, Chelmsford)

To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will consider the advisability of extending the benefits of the Old-Age Pensions Act to naval and military pensioners resident in the Channel Islands, considering that a great part of their lives has been spent in the service of this country.

(Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) I will bear the case in mind; but I fear it would be difficult to draw a distinction between the Channel Islands and other parts of the British Dominions whose financial arrangements are separate from those of the United Kingdom.
