HC Deb 11 November 1908 vol 196 c250
CAPTAIN FABER (Hampshire, Andover)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he will state how many 1-pounder quick-firing guns for field service the British Army possesses per 1,000 men, as compared with the French and German armies.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) The hon. and gallant Member appears to be under some misapprehension. 1-pounder quick-firing guns have been withdrawn from the British service, and there are no such guns in either the French or German armies.
