HC Deb 10 November 1908 vol 196 cc52-3
MR. JAMES O'KELLY (Roscommon, N.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the farm known as Clooneen Hartland, of about 350 acres, near Strokestown, County Roscommon, is about to be sold to the Estates Commissioners; whether it is intended to sell the same to a land agent; and, if so, whether he will direct the attention of the Commissioners to the fact that, in the immediate neighbourhood, there are many small uneconomic holdings which might profitably be increased if the farm in question were split up and divided amongst them.

MR. BIRRELL

The Estates Commissioners inform me that the particulars given in the Question are not sufficient to enable them to identify the farm referred to.
