BYLES (Salford, N.)I beg to ask the Under-Secretary for the Colonies if the Act of the Natal Parliament providing for the better administration of native affairs is now under the consideration of the Colonial Office; is he aware that its provisions are strongly objected to by influential friends of the natives and by local newspapers in the Colony; and, in these circumstances, will be consider carefully before advising that the Crown shall give assent to this measure.
