HC Deb 05 November 1908 vol 195 c1386
MR. R. HARCOURT (Montrose Burghs)

To ask the Prime Minister whether he is in a position to give an assurance that the discussion of the Irish land question, foreshadowed in his statement on Wednesday, will not involve any postponement of Scottish legislation; and, in particular, if he can now state whether the Trawling in Prohibited Areas Bill will be pressed through all its stages in this House during the present session.

(Answered by Mr. Asquith.) I have no reason to think that the discussion referred to will involve a postponement of Scottish legislation. Until after the Second Reading, I shall not be in a position to state what are the prospects of the Trawling Bill during the present session.
