HC Deb 03 November 1908 vol 195 c953
MR. RAWLINSON (Cambridge University)

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, under the provisions of the Licensing Bill, a licensed public-house will be entitled to be kept open during the hours during which it is enacted that licensed promises must be closed, provided such public-house is not open for the sale of intoxicating liquor.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Gladstone.) Without pledging myself to the exact expressions used by the hon. Member I may say that it is proposed to insert a provision in the Licensing Bill declaratory of the existing law in the sense suggested by him.
