PIKE PEASE (Darlington)To ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he can state the total number of municipal officials and employees of all grades in permanent employment, including those employed in the Poor Law services for England and Wales, not including London, and for London alone, respectively.
(Answered by Mr. John Burns.) The Answer is in the negative. The hon. Member may, however, be interested to see a Return on the subject of the number of employees of certain local authorities which was issued last year (No. 136, of Session 1907).
