HC Deb 02 November 1908 vol 195 c739
MR. KETTLE (Tyrone, E.)

To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer what part of the sum of £300,000 available this year, under the Unemployed Workmen Act, will be allocated to Ireland.

(Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) The grant (of which only £200,000 has so far been voted) has not yet been allocated between the three countries. The allocation will be determined with reference to the requirements, when these have been ascertained. In the meantime, issues on account are made by the Treasury to the Local Government Board as necessity arises.
