HC Deb 02 November 1908 vol 195 c756
MR. T. F. RICHARDS (Wolverhampton, W.)

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Admiralty whether the experience of the Board of Admiralty has been such as to demonstrate the inadequacy of nucleus crews for the proper maintenance of His Majesty's ships; and whether it is the general rule to supply vermin powder, etc., for the use of ships undergoing repair.

The Answer to both parts of the hon. Member's Question is in the negative. As a rule, the powder is only supplied when required.
