To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland what was the total expenditure in Ireland in each of the three years 1905–6, 1906–7, and 1907–8, out of the Parliamentary grant available under the Unemployed Workmen Act.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) There was no Parliamentary grant for the purposes of the Unemployed Workmen Act in the year 1905–6. The amount of the grant to Ireland in 1906–7 was £11,050, and 1907–8 £4,500.
