HC Deb 28 May 1908 vol 189 c1244
MR. J. MACVEAGH (Down, S.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state how many of the six inspectors of national education in the Belfast districts have a sufficient knowledge of the Irish language to qualify them to examine in this subject.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Commissioners of National Education inform me that the answer is two.
