HC Deb 22 May 1908 vol 189 cc615-6
MR. FLAVIN (Kerry, N.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the estate of M. H. Franks in North Kerry has been offered

in workhouses and workhouse infirmaries;, in London and in the provinces, respectively, on 1st January, 1908.

(Answered by Mr. John Burns.) On 1st January, 1908, the numbers of pauper children relieved in workhouses and workhouse infirmaries in England and Wales were as follows:—

for sale to the Estates Commissioners; and, if so, when was it inspected and reported upon, and when was, or will, an offer be made to the landlord.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Estates Commissioners have had an inspection made of the estate in question, and the report of the inspection was received in December 1907. A preliminary estimate of price was furnished to the owner in March last, but no reply has since been received from him.
