HC Deb 20 May 1908 vol 189 cc281-2
MR. COURTHOPE

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Education how many school places in the proposed new school at Llandaff are considered to be necessary to meet a deficiency of accommodation.

MR. RUNCIMAN

The population in this district is continually increasing and it is, therefore, difficult to estimate the number of places which may, on a numerical basis, be required in the next year or two. The actual shortage in school places at present is about forty.

MR. COURTHOPE

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Education what is the amount of the building grant which it is proposed to pay in respect of the new council school at Llandaff.

MR. RUNCIMAN

Not more than £1,000.
