MR. HERBERT (Buckinghamshire, Wycombe)I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will lay upon the Table a copy of the Commission under which the Governor of Natal holds his appointment.
§ COLONEL SEELYI shall be happy to show the hon. Member a copy of the Commission, but as it is a purely formal document, I do not think that it is of sufficient general interest to justify my laying it upon the Table.
§ MR. SWIFT MACNEILL (Donegal, S.)asked if the Governor was also Commander-in-Chief of the Forces.
§ COLONEL SEELYsaid the Commission was in the ordinary form and differed in no important respect from the Commissions to other Governors.
