I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War how much of the money paid under the Territorial Army Grant goes to officers non-commissioned officers, and men of the regular Army; what is the number of regular soldiers in receipt of this pay under heads of their respective rank; and whether there is a regular scale of pay for the Generals holding commands in the Territorial Army.

The amount provided in the Vote for the Territorial Force for officers, noncommissioned officers and men of the Regular Army is £285,000. The approximate numbers and ranks are shown on page 49 of the Estimates. The pay of General Officers Commanding Divisions of the Territorial Force is fixed at £1,500 a year.
